The FAQ has been updated to reflect this updated information:

Update (2009April): To allow us more flexibility on access, we are discontinuing FTP read access. HTTP read access (as in downloading through your web browser), remains more popular with users, and shall continue.

Thank you for writing back but that I had noted in my message that I had tried that with no success.

Example: if there are individual download file links to each song on the main page for a specific show, or a download link for the entire show, clcking on those links work fine through http.

However, if you go to a show that does not have the links (as described above) on the main page you used to be able to get to the individual files by going to the download directory with either ftp or http. This no longer works which means there is no way to download a song or entire show via http or ftp, unless the main page for a show provides the links.

I understand that the file download will not work (and should not) if the shows had been commercially released in total or partially. Therefore, the only way to download the shows that are missing the ftp link would be to capture the stream - is that the intent?
